This week has been somewhat busy. I met with the cabinet company and they took measurements of my kitchen, master bathroom, and closet. I think I know what I'm going to do with my master bathroom but I'm going to need some help with my kitchen so I have hired an interior designer. She's also going to help me put the finishing touches on some of my rooms.

This photo is the inspiration for my master bathroom remodel.
The appliance company has given me a loaner refrigerator to use because it's taking a bit longer to get the Viking one that I ordered. And they also delivered my new GE Profile steam washer and dryer. I'm really impressed with the new appliances so far! There are so many different options to play with and there's all these settings you can select to remove different stains and what not. What's also really cool is that the detergent and fabric softener gets dispersed automatically. There's a pedestal below my washer that holds up to 6 months of detergent and dispenses the right amount of detergent and fabric softener based on the size of load, selected soil level, type of fabric or cycle and hardness of water. So... I'm actually having fun doing my chores for once. Enjoy it while it lasts, right? ;)

I finally have a washer and dryer. It's starting to feel a lot more like a home.

I also had solar shades installed in my bedroom for energy efficiency as well as to make it darker so that I can sleep better when the sun comes up in the morning. I'm a big fan of darkness and it being cool when I sleep. I haven't received my blinds yet so mornings have been a bit rough for me as of late. I've been waking up at 6 or 7 am every day which is not like me. Actually, it is kind of nice for a change but I'd still like the option of sleeping in on a Sunday or something.

And I finally got my couch delivered from Restoration Hardware but I had to fight for it. I was all set to receive it and the delivery company called me at the last minute and said they couldn't deliver it because it was defective. It turns out the damage was purely cosmetic so I asked Restoration Hardware if I could use it for the time being until my new couch arrives and they said that I could. Thankfully I won't be without a couch for another 3 months while I wait for the new one.
My living room is coming along. Thankfully I finally have a couch.

Yesterday they came to replace my fireplace doors. I used to have brass which I couldn't stand. Now they look more updated and nicer with my furniture.

And lastly the bedroom set has arrived for my guest bedroom. I need to go out and buy some sheets for the bed but I snapped a quick photo of it as is to show you how it looks. I'm very happy with the quality. It looks really nice. Many of you had asked where I got it. The furniture is made by a company out of Texas called Fabulous and Baroque. You can find their website at: http://www.fabulousandbaroque.com. I highly recommend their furniture. They sell some really cool stuff so make sure you check them out.

Got my new bedroom set. Now to find some nice sheets and a duvet cover that matches.
I met with my interior designer and her assistant and they showed me all the fantastic ideas they had to help make my place even nicer. She really got a feel for my style and picked out some awesome pieces. I can't wait to get going on everything. That's all for now. I will write more again soon.
